This Jeep was built with a ton of parts from 4wd.com, as were a bunch of other Jeeps I have built… the entire build thread can be seen here…

There are 70 pages and if you wanted to do a story on it, I can provide any missing details. With a lot of help from 4wd with parts as well as a lot of other research on your site, I was able to cobble together this Jeep and finally take it out wheeling this year a couple of times.
Yes, the dates don’t lie, it took 5 years to build it to where it is now, that is what a lot of things like a wedding, house shopping/buying/fixing, garage building, baby making and a ton of other things that come into play. Also, the original idea for this was called the “Free Jeep” where people would donate parts to the cause, I would build it up, and then we would give it away to a much needed Jeep person down on their luck… if you go back in your records, you will see that this Jeep is anything but FREE! It cost well over $15K to get it up and running to where it is now, and worth every penny of it… needless to say, I won’t be auctioning it off, unless we can raise the money that was put into it… and even then, I am not 100% sure I would want to part with it now that I have seen what it can do offroad. It is a classic CJ7, looks like a mini-Scrambler, and a ton of fun to drive.
During the time I built this one, I also built another one for a guy to take to Moab. I won’t be jealous if you use his rig on the cover as that also was my hand. He drove it out to Moab, wheeled, and drove it back all without incident… the driveshaft let go on the way back home to Mass in Pennsylvannia… so it was definitely built well (with 4wd parts), and held up to the abuse well. It is a 1984 CJ7.
